Venue and accommodation

The venue for the 2nd VERTIGO workshop is the Department of Earth Sciences of Durham University. All sessions will be held in the Conference Room of the Department and the experiments will be performed at the experimental lab facilities, located in the same building.

Participants will be accommodated at the outstanding Durham Castle, since 1837 home of University College (- the oldest of Durham University's Colleges-). Situated in the heart of the City the Castle, along with Durham's world famous Cathedral, forms part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Castle is within easy walking distance of the workshop location.

Please note that single rooms are limited. Single rooms will be attributed on a “first come, first served” basis. Participants registering for the whole week will have priority. Students will be accomodated in double occupancy.
