2nd Summer School
For the help in logistics and input the VERTIGO Organisation team would like to thank the "Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia" (INGV), Catania & "Dipartimento della Protezione Civile" (DPC), Sicily.
The 2nd VERTIGO Summer School will be held from Monday 19th through Saturday 24th September 2016 at the Airone Hotel, Zafferana Etnea, Sicily. Arrival shall be on Sunday September 18th (ice-breaker at 19:30). Saturday September 24th will be dedicated to science divulgation and kitchen table experiments at the Funivia of Mount Etna.
The 2nd Summer School will focus on volcanic hazard mitigation. The scientific programme will be complemented by soft skill training for the Early Stage Researchers as well as by several field days at key outcrops. The workshop is open to all, though the number of participants will be limited. Registration is on a "first-come, first-serve" basis. Participants registering for the whole week will have priority.
